Labor Charges

UFCW Local 324 has filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board alleging that Mother’s Market violated federal labor law at multiple stores.

These charges include allegations that Mother’s Market “has interfered with, restrained, and coerced employees in the exercise of the rights guaranteed in Section 7 of the [National Labor Relations] Act by”:

• “suspending and terminating fifteen employees at its Costa Mesa store because of and/or in response to employees’ union organizing and/or other protected concerted activities.”

• “terminating Alexis Bartucca because of her union and/or other protected concerted activities.”

• “engaging in unlawful surveillance when manager recorded employees engaged in a delegation visit at the Santa Ana store on or about April 14, 2026;”

• “engaging in unlawful surveillance when a manager recorded employees engaged in a delegation visit at the Anaheim Hills store on or about April 15, 2026;”

• “enhancing enforcement of its dress code policy in response to employees’ union and/or other protected concerted activities;”

• “engaging in unlawful surveillance when a manager photographed employees engaged in protected concerted activity on or about July 10, 2026 at the Huntington Beach store”
